How fast shall I progress ?

Your progression depends very much on :

– Your mother tongue (if you are a native Latin speaker, French will not be very difficult to learn.

– Your current level of French.

– The length of your course.

– The number of lessons you take per week.

– Your learning ability.

– Whether you know and practice other languages.

– The type of accommodation you have chosen (living among French people will make you improve faster than living on your own).

Shall I have any problem with the Marseilles accent ?

You will have no problem at all. Every French speaking country (and every region in each of these countries) has its own accent and you will discover them with pleasure. Furthermore, Marseilles is a big cosmopolitan city and you will notice people speak with hundreds of different accents or no accent at all. This is the case of CIPEL teachers who come from all over France (including Marseilles).

How to get to Marseilles ?

There are direct flights from all over the world (including Paris and other major French cities to Marseilles international airport (Marseille-Provence, 30′ from the city centre). TGV trains come from Paris every hour and several TGV come from Charles-De-Gaulle airport everyday. Busses also arrive at the bus station (next to the Gare Saint-Charles, the main railways station) from many European countries.
